“The Central Election Monitoring Committee, while expressing appreciation for the enthusiastic and epic participation of Iranian people in the elections, and stressing the need for continuing with polling until the final stages, announces to proud and honorable people of Iran that under Article 11 of electoral law, no authority and organization other than the Guardian Council has the right to revoke or stop the elections, and any measure that would seem to be in line with stopping the elections without first obtaining the Guardian Council’s consent, will be considered against the law.”
